Wes Epae

Comedy Impressionist & Singer

Wes’ illustrious career began as a singing waiter in a local coffee shop located in the city of Wellington in his home country of New Zealand. His vocal talents and ability to entertain soon had him joining the well-known Mary and the Maori Hi Five to travel and entertain in major clubs and resorts around the world. The group dispersed in 1972 and Wes continued as a solo act, opening for many major stars like Louie Prima, the Beatles, Milton Berle and more.

An amazing fact about Wes: he has never studied opera nor taken singing lessons. Amazing, especially when you consider many have compared Mr. Epae to a modern-day Sammy Davis, Jr. and one of his crowd-favorite impressions is that of world famous Luciano Pavaroti. While his vocal power comes close to the famed tenor, Wes also does impressions of Johnny Mathis, Louis Armstrong, Tom Jones, Engelbert Humperdink, Ray Charles, Michael Jackson and more. From Phantom’s Music of the Night to Michael Jackson’s Billie Jean, Wes is a man of many talents.

Being a former member of Mary and the Maori Hi Five, Mr. Epae was recently inducted into the Las Vegas Walk of the Stars. Next time you’re in Vegas, check out their plaque outside the New York New York Hotel. As a prestigious and ceremonial event honoring their lifetime achievement as entertainers, this is an honor of which Wes, his family and fans are understandably proud.

With his show-stopping rendition of Andrea Bocelli’s Conte Partiro, show business veteran Wes Epae is an outstanding experienced entertainer with a standing ovation show considered a “Must See.”
